It will be pretty frustrating for many Wii gamers that they will often have to play with a lesser game version in the great game franchises. The focus often seems to go to the versions for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Konami takes it a little different with the PES series, and has looked especially how you control with the WiiMote and Nunchuck. This results in the ultimate control over your passes and shots.
The Wii version of PES 2010 has a number of known modes and the most gamers will probably first play the Master League or the Champions Road. If you are not familiar with previous Wii parts, then we advise you to follow the tutorial first. Even if you’ve played one of the other versions of PES 2010, then a little bit of practice can be good.

Controls
The controls with the Wiimote and Nunchuck is particularly difficult and without explanation you really have no idea what to do to, even with an easy sprint or pass. The tutorial, which will gradually explain to you how to perform all the actions on screen is very clear and profound happiness. As example, with texts (both spoken and written) and exercises you learn how to deal with the controls.
You are not there yet, since the controls also require considerable tolerance. Many of the actions you perform with the WiiMote, which among other things used as a pointer that shows you where players need to go or where you want the ball.
If you’re on the ball, you have to focus your WiiMote on where you want the player to be and with the A button your player will walk there. Furthermore you can check with the analog stick of a player Nunchuck run and it depends a bit on the situation that controls you apply.
To control the ball you only have to use the B button. You point the WiiMote at the ball where you want it and then press and release the B button for immediate play. But you see a striker who is not yet the defensive line is crossed, you can set the pointer behind the defenders, the B button held down, after this the attacker will run towards the pointer. If you release the B button at the right time, you will give a perfect pass.
After a few games you will give perfect sharp passes. The AI is not that smart, this will ensure you that it will go a little easier then the previous PES games. The weak points in the defense are sometimes vissible and the defenders are often very passive, so you can go in offensive very easily.
The said Artificial Intelligence also plays a role when you’re not on the ball. The defense again proving to be the biggest challenge in PES 2010 for Wii. You can automatically put pressure on the Z-button and use a touch, then more players will be involved.
You can also select a player to run in a line, to do so you will have to hit the A button and hold it. This way you can pass the ball to the person trying to cut off. By shaking the nunchuck, you can also tackle other players (this is a nice feature if your opponent tries to make a goal).
The tactical players can even easily use the offside by the WiiMote and Nunchuck while moving up. Almost all actions are also to be implemented in PES 2010 for Wii, but it remains difficult to control their work on the defensive. The controls with the Wiimote and Nunchuck it shows lack precision, allowing an attacker suddenly only the goalkeeper can pass.

Innovations
We played the game and saw little new innovations in PES2010, and certainly not innovations compared to the PS3 and XBOX versions. Only the system for free kicks renewed and now you can easily identify where you want to shoot the ball and then shoot by tilting the WiiMote.
The taking of free kicks is very simple, but taking corner kicks proved to be difficult. One thing we did like was the fatigue meter. Now the soccer players can not run the whole field without getting tired, this has proven to be very realistic.
Overall ratings
Like the version for other platforms, the Wii version available for the Champions League and can also be fought online. It must be said that PES 2010 has more than enough game to ensure that you will have lots of hours of fun.
In terms of graphics, the Wii version of PES 2010 is very nice, especially during the replays we saw very sharp details of the players. The animations looked nice and we thought Konami has certainly done his best. The other thing that was amazing was the commentary. It was very realistic. The soundtrack with songs from recent popular bands is a welcome addition.
PES 2010 for Wii is definitely a strong footie for casual players and still not boring for the casual gamer. It is a shame that Konami has made little improvement, while there really are some features that can be improved. Especially the defense is still very difficult even wehn artificial intelligence is not very strong. PES 2010 for Wii remains strong, but we really want to see more improvements on the next game.
